Tucked away on a small family farm in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Greets Farm is a level, two-acre Certificated Site (CS) offering a laid back and relaxed atmosphere, space and open countryside views — with the added bonus of being just a mile's easy stroll from the charming village of Welburn.
Our adults-only site has been welcoming guests for 15-plus years. Visitors love the rural farm feel — sheep grazing in neighbouring fields, views stretching towards Castle Howard — yet without feeling cut off from good food, local attractions and excellent transport links. For an impressive three times the site has been nominated for the Camping and Caravanning Club's Best CS Award and continues to earn five-star reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk.
Sarah and Marcus Lyon run the site with the care and attention that only a small, family-run place can offer. Five pitches. Open countryside. Castle Howard just down the road. Call Sarah on 07918 070716 to check availability, or book online.

"Great location for visiting Castle Howard which is 3 miles away. Lovely cafe and deli less than a mile away which does great breakfasts and lunch. Opposite the cafe, the pub The Crown and Cushion does a wonderful Sunday lunch. We had the field to ourselves on the site. The shower was good. Basic facilities but clean. A very quiet site."
"A fantastic small campsite with all the facilities you can require from a small site. Relaxed and friendly. Close to the A64 but the shelter belt of trees protects from the noise. Great position for a week's visit with everything you can want within 1 hour."
"Sarah operates an excellent site and we greatly enjoyed our short stay here in glorious weather. This is our kind of site: all the facilities you would require, grass pitches and great views. Sarah is a lovely, friendly host. We will return to stay at Greets Farm and explore more of the area. Many thanks!"
"We really enjoyed our stay at Greets Farm. Very quiet and relaxing site, super friendly hosts. Only a short walk to the village where there is a dog friendly cafe / shop and local pub where the food was lovely."
"What a lovely campsite, very peaceful and tranquil with great views over the Howardian Hills. Very clean facilities. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and helped us out when we had a flat battery. The village is only a 15 minute walk away with a friendly pub with good food and a bakery/deli. We would recommend this site to others and we will hopefully be returning ourselves."
"Lovely site with basic but clean facilities. Great views across Castle Howard. Adults only, very peaceful and quiet. Field is on a slight slope depending on where you pitch but plenty of space. Great little bakery a mile or so in the village."
"Lovely peaceful site with basic but clean facilities. Sarah was very welcoming. Within reach of many attractions and excellent eating places but felt like we were in the middle of the countryside. So relaxing, sitting out listening to the birdsong and also seeing the beautiful night skies complete with full moon — without any streetlight glare."
"This is a lovely site, extremely quiet and tranquil. Clean facilities and level pitches. Reasonably priced and easy to find. Good location for many of the area's attractions."
"Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The site was clean and the facilities were good. The site is near to Castle Howard, Malton, Pickering so good for visiting. The local village pub was warm and welcoming and the Sunday roast was outstanding. Beautiful place to stay and relax."
"What a truly charming place. We had such a relaxing time here. If you are happy in a field, with a basic shower and a couple of toilets, but away from everything, just the very friendly sheep, lambs and horses, then this is the place for you. Sarah could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. We loved our time here. Thank you. Eve and Vince"
